Since 1976, our journey began with the collection of two embroidered pieces from remote mountains. We have always believed that Miao embroidery, this mysterious and unique artistic treasure, serves as a soulful bridge connecting modern individuals to their cultural roots in this rapidly evolving AI era.
Today, we have grown into a leader in the research and collection of Miao embroidery art. From establishing the Miao Embroidery Museum to setting industry standards for collection and appraisal, we provide collectors with high-value, premium-quality Miao embroidery masterpieces. At the same time, we seamlessly blend traditional Miao embroidery with contemporary art and design, creating artistic derivatives that resonate with the aesthetics of our era. Furthermore, we host workshops that offer opportunities for those passionate about exploring Miao embroidery and traditional craftsmanship, as well as providing a platform for students and educators in fields such as art design and textiles to exchange ideas and practice their craft.

Miao embroidery is a traditional craft passed down through generations of the Miao people, and it also serves as a cultural expression that wears history and stories. Since ancient times, Miao village girls have begun embroidering with vivid threads as early as seven or eight years old, recording their ethnic memories, life insights, and prayers for living. Because the Miao people have not formed a widely recognized written language, Miao embroidery carries the dual mission of “writing” and “imagery,” becoming an unwritten scripture that narrates their history and faith.
In the Internet era, this cultural treasure hidden deep in the mountains now faces the challenge of disappearing. Drawing on half a century of collecting, research, and organization, Miao’s Tales attempts to decode this ancient civilization—from techniques to symbols—seeking the wisdom of being “connected to one’s roots” within Miao embroidery. We believe this art, tempered by time, can bring a unique sense of inspiration and warmth to contemporary life.

苗绣是苗族世代相传的传统刺绣工艺，也是一种将历史与故事“穿”在身上的文化表达。自古以来，苗寨女孩从七八岁起，便用色彩斑斓的线迹记录族群记忆、生命认知和对生活的祈愿。由于苗族尚未形成可通读文字，苗绣承担了“文字”与“图像”的双重使命，成为诉说历史与信仰的无字天书。
在互联网时代的冲击下，这份深藏山间的文化瑰宝正面临濒临失传的 挑战。苗疆故事基于半个世纪的收藏、研究与整理，从技法到符号，尝试解读这套古老文明编码，探寻苗绣中与根相连的智慧。我们相信，这种历经岁月沉淀的艺术，能为当代生活注入别样的灵感与温度。

Founders
Li Zeng （曾丽）, Wei Zeng（曾维）
Brand founders Li Zeng and Wei Zeng were born into a family deeply connected to Miao Embroidery. Their father, Mr. Zeng, Xianyang, known as the “leading collector of Miao clothing in China,” began traveling across Guizhou half a century ago to gather ancient embroidered pieces, amassing extensive field research notes and precious artifacts.
Exposed to this environment from an early age, the sisters came to realize that Miao Embroidery is not merely a traditional craft, but rather a cultural code transcending time. Building on their father’s research, they established the world’s first museum dedicated to Miao Embroidery, and devoted themselves to fostering a dialogue between Miao Embroidery, contemporary design, and international art. Ultimately, they founded Miao’s Tales, aspiring to transform this “unwritten book”—spanning mountains and ages—into a bridge that connects modern audiences with history, art, and fashion.
品牌创始人曾丽、曾维 出身于一个与苗绣结缘的家庭。她们的父亲 曾宪阳先生 被誉为“中国苗族服饰收藏第一人”，早在半个世纪前就奔走于贵州各地收集古老刺绣，积累了丰富的实地调研笔记与珍贵藏品。
耳濡目染之下，姐妹俩深刻体悟到：苗绣不仅是一种传统工艺，更是一种穿越时空的文化密码。她们在继承父辈研究成果的基础上，创立世界上第一个苗绣主题博物馆，并投身于苗绣与当代设计、国际艺术的对话与融合。最终，她们创立了 Miao’s Tales，希望让这部跨越文字与山水的“无字天书”成为当代人与历史、艺术、时尚交汇的纽带。
